INDEPENDENT CREATIVE / NO FIXED MEDIUMVOLUME 001 — THE OPEN TAB

Good things
happen off-script.

(01—∞)

Music, moving images, and the occasional very good bad idea.

An independent creator studio for people who would rather make a little noise than fit neatly in.

Less polished.
More personal.

A few things from the desk, the dance floor, and the space in between.

A SMALL PERSONAL MANIFESTO

The internet has
enough content.
Make a connection.

No content conveyor belt. No pretending every thought is a strategy. Just curious work, made with care, for someone who might feel it.

Stay a little
unreasonable. ↗

Still figuring
it out.

AH / 001 — SOUND

Nobody's asleep.

A fictional late-night mix identity built around one moment: the city goes quiet, but your mind doesn't.

The direction pairs oversized timestamps with a minimal circular label system. The same language works on cover art, an event poster, and a creator's own release page.

Concept study only. There is no playable mix or actual release attached to this demo.
AH / 002 — VISUAL IDENTITY

Make room for the weird.

A typographic study in giving an imperfect idea a very confident entrance. Huge condensed phrases, electric blue, and just enough empty space to let the message breathe.

Designed as a flexible identity for independent events, creator drops, or a project that doesn't fit the usual categories.

Fictional portfolio study. No client relationship is implied.
AH / 003 — EDITORIAL

The open-tab journal.

A digital notebook for unfinished observations. Each issue connects one piece of work with the notes, accidents, and false starts that made it happen.

The editorial direction uses a generous reading rhythm, hand-drawn-feeling serif accents, and numbered fragments instead of an endless feed.

Sample editorial concept. The field notes on this page are included as readable demos.
FIELD NOTE 01

The second weird one.

The first idea is often a memory wearing a new jacket. You've seen something like it before. That's why it arrives so quickly.

The next idea is usually stranger. Less easy to explain. Maybe the type is too big, the track is too slow, or the ending comes a little early. Keep that one around.

Try making its smallest possible version before you decide it's wrong. A poster. Sixteen bars. A single screen. Give the idea a chance to become something outside your head.

It might fail. But at least you'll know what kind of failure it is. That's more useful than another perfectly reasonable open tab.

FIELD NOTE 02

Keep a little for yourself.

A walk can just be a walk. A good meal doesn't owe anyone a photograph. And an unfinished song doesn't need a launch strategy.

Making things publicly can be wonderful. Turning every experience into evidence that you're making things can get exhausting.

Leave some space where nothing is being measured. Follow a strange sound. Read something with no obvious application. Be interested without immediately being useful.

Sometimes the work gets better when you stop asking every moment to contribute to it.
